Let Me Tell You About How Good MY God Is

Ok, here is the post I've been so excited to write that I couldn't stand it! I have two exciting things to share :)

First off, you know I've been going through some yucky health stuff in the last couple of years, well I found a new doctor who immediately saw that I was lacking in Testosterone, which was causing a lot of the anxiety, moodiness, and depression.

And then she immediately tested my blood again because she suspected, as I did, that my thyroid, caused by Hashimoto's, was the root of all my problems(it runs in my family)  I had suspected for YEARS and each doctor (4 to be exact) assured me they tested for it and told me the results were normal. They weren't. They were not testing for Hashimoto's precisely and it requires a certain test and wont just show up in a routine thyroid check. I'm now on thyroid and testosterone meds and slowly feeling like my old self again.

I know I've said this before, but if you have something going on with your health, don't take no for an answer, keep searching for answers until you find a solution. Do everything you can to take responsibility for your health.

Ok, now for the really big news that I've had a really hard time not shouting from the rooftops.

WE ARE MOVING BACK HOME!!!

God, ya'll, is so good and awesome and great and sees our every need, want, big and small. He wants to do those big things in our lives so that we will know He's real and that He loves and cares about us.

(^--how about that verse? "I'm about to burst with song; I can't keep quiet about you. God, my God, I can't thank you enough." That's exactly how I have felt.)

Trey and I have had MANY discussions about wanting to move closer to family and had many reasons for not liking our location in Texas (but also many reasons why we did, we'll be saying goodbye to an amazing church and some great friends). With his job and timing it just didn't seem like it was going to be possible for at least another year. We were settled to trust God with whatever happened.

But God.

While on vacation last week he had another company call him requesting he interview for a position that had just opened up, he really wasn't thinking anything would happen with it because he started out with this company in college and really had no plans to go back, I told him not to even worry about applying...ha!

Well, he applied just to see, and over the course of the week, while on vacation, he was interviewed three times, offered the job, and by the time we got home he was sent an offer package for him to review.

Whew!

We decided to go for it. Moving home has been our heart's desire for quite some time.

We are moving back to the city of our Alma mater, Auburn, AL(War Eagle for you SEC football fans.)

Birthplace of our son, and the city where my husband always said he wanted to retire and live in blissful football heaven for the rest of his days on earth.

How crazy amazing is this?! Above anything we could have hoped or asked for.

Plus the kids are excited so that is the chocolate icing on the cake!

The next couple of weeks are going to be insanely busy, we have a lot to do in a short amount of time. And school starts back in a couple of weeks, yikes.

And friends, can I just say, every piece of this puzzle is falling into perfect place. The timing, the location, all the details scream GOD!! This is God.

Of course it's nerve wracking moving AGAIN and we are in a tight spot trying to sell a house and buy a house and get the kids in school.

Oh the uncertainties...

It's ok though, we are going to breathe slowly and take it one day at a time. We'll get through, knowing that the end result is being where we never thought we'd end up and it's better than we ever hoped for, will make it all worth it.

I hope this encourages YOU to not stop believing and asking God for the desires of your heart. Please allow him the opportunity to show up BIG in your life.

Love ya'll!

  2. WOW! I'd say that was some VACATION!!!! Super exciting and I love hearing so strongly that the Lord is meeting the desires of your heart on this one. Very exciting!
Also, super excited for your health. I started going to a doc that was so different than others in that her focus was my blood. She told me that is how she finds the answers for what is going on with me. She too, found low testosterone in me. Oh gosh, my energy levels went thru the roof after that. And so glad about the thyroid being taken care of. That thyroid is such a vital organ, it regulates EVERYTHING!
Glad you get to go home. I love most......to hear your excitement.

  6. I read this last week and have been meaning to stop by. I'm so sorry it took me so long. I am SO excited and happy for you, Alecia. Can I ask a selfish question though??? Will I still be able to meet you this week or will you already by gone? Totally understand if you can't or simply isn't possible because well, you've moved. But still hoping. Let me know. Love you. xoxo
