For Such A Time As This

WeHeartIt

Esther 4:14 "...If you persist in staying silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place...And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this."

When you feel like you are in a rut. Like your words or life do not make a difference. Remember the truth found in Esther, that you were born for such a time as this.

You can be an influence within your sphere of friends and community.

Don't give fear the advantage.

Don't compare.

There will always be someone that can do it better or faster. But they may not heed the call.

Your words matter, You matter.

If Esther would have stayed silent and gave into the fear that she could lose her life if she spoke to the King without being summoned, then she and her family would have died anyway. But, instead she took the risk. She allowed God to use her. If not her, then God would have used someone else.

Don't do that! Don't refuse to be used by God because your scared. Nothing in this world is bigger than Him.

If not you, then it will be someone else.

Esther took the chance. She went before the king, and made her request known to him. He listened. And she and her people were saved.

The enemy would like nothing better than for God's people to remain silent, and to be frozen in fear that leads to inaction.

You were made for more. You were born for such a time as this. Read it for yourself in Esther.

Allow God to use you and bless you. Don't miss out on his blessings by convincing yourself that you don't matter, that you aren't good enough or that your past discounts you.

Because you are, you are, and it doesn't.  Allow God to use it all.

I'm believing with you, that we were born for this time. Right now. To be used in mighty ways for Him.
Go and You Bless!

  1. Very timely message for me. Glad I stopped over from Pause on the Path.

Also, reminds me of this C.S. Lewis quote: “For you will certainly carry out God's purpose, however you act, but it makes a difference to you whether you serve like Judas or like John.”

    1. Thanks Marissa! I agree, it is easy to get discouraged. When I read too many blog posts in one day sometimes, I feel inadequate instead of uplifted and encouraged on my path.

  3. Just another reinforcement that God does not always call the equipped, however He will always equip the called...something I have been reminding myself as I step into a leadership role I didn't entirely think I was/am ready for...but He does!!
Thank you for these words of encouragement!

    1. I love that He doesn't always call the equipped, but that He will equip the called. It gives me reassurance when I'm starting down a new path and feel ill equipped. Praying you take that step of faith into whatever it is He is calling you to do, You Bless!
